Williston is currently in the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan. We need the public’s input!  The City hosted meetings to solicit input from a broad-based representation of city residents and property owners on issues and concerns related to the issues being addressed in the updated Plan. The updated Plan will address future land use, housing, parks, development, public services, beautification, and other issues related to future growth and quality of life.

The meetings consisted of an opening presentation and a public input process called electronic polling, and follow-up discussion regarding other issues that arose during the meeting.  The purpose of using electronic polling is to allow each individual to have anonymous input on the important issues facing the city and the direction in which the city should go with its planning efforts.  A hand-held “electronic voting device” was issued to participants when they arrive.  During the meeting, participants “voted” on the importance of various issues related to the community.  Each person’s “voice” is equally represented through the process of electronic polling.  The results of the polling process will be presented to participants at the meeting.
